Aqueous extract from the brown algae (Laminaria hyperborea) that makes up a considerable part of the North Sea’s seaweed fields. The polysaccharide-amino acid complex contained in the algae acts as a “biological sponge“ and is thus a natural moisturising medium. The so-named membrane slime has a coating effect and effectively protects the skin against dehydration.
