Calendula oil (CALENDULA OFFICINALIS)

The ethereal oil of the pot marigold (calendula officinalis), a plant very popular in Europe as a cultivated and medicinal plant. Contains carotenoid pigments and triterpene alcohol, is predominantly used in products for the care of sensitive and irritated skin.

Camomile (CHAMOMILLA RECUTITA), Roman camomile (ANTHEMIS NOBILIS)

The camomile is found throughout Europe and large parts of Asia. It is one of the most popular and most used medicinal plants and was already known in antiquity as a curative medium. A blue, ethereal oil containing the main active constituents chamazulene and bisabolol is obtained from the blossom. It can be used both internally and externally.

CAMPHOR

An ethereal oil extracted by steam distillation from the fragmentized wood of 50-60 year old camphor trees (Cinnamomum camphora). Nowadays largely produced synthetically from a natural base material.

Cardiospermum (CARDIOSPERMUM HALICACABUM)

The balloon vine is an herbal climbing plant in the soap wood family. The climbing plant's black seeds, also called "heart seeds" or cardiospermum (cardiospermum halicacabum), are mainly used in homeopathy for treatment of skin eczema.

Carrot oil (DAUCUS CAROTA)

Obtained from ground carrots, this oil has a particularly high content of provitamin A (Beta-carotene) . Vision disorders, dry skin, scaling skin and changes in the complexion, including increased pigmentation and wrinkles, are among the symptoms of vitamin A deficiency. Creams containing vitamin A make the skin significantly softer, smoother and firmer.

Chili extract (CAPSICUM FRUTESCENS FRUIT EXTRACT)

This is an extract from the dried chili fruit. The pepper species (capsicum) is also called chili or chillies and is a member of the nightshade family. Capsaicin is the substance contained in chili responsible for the hot peppery taste.

CITRIC ACID

Found especially in fruits (citrus fruits, berries) and is extracted from the concentrated juice. Citric acid plays a central role in the cell metabolism of all organisms. The internal cell respiration process takes place in what is known as the citric acid cycle. Citric acid is used in cosmetics to regulate the natural protective acid mantle. Used especially in cleansing products for oily and dehydrated skin types as well as in anti-ageing products.

Coconut Acid (COCAMIDEDEA)

Fatty acid, which is obtained from the oil of coconut and has good moisturizing properties. Coconut acid is used especially in skin cleansing products to prevent drying of the skin with frequent washing.

Comfrey (SYMPHYTUM OFFICINALE)

Comfrey is a perennial, bristly haired, up to 1.5 m high growing shrub. The bell-shaped flowers are red-purple or yellowish-white coloured. The root, plant and leaves of comfrey contain allantoin, mucilages and tannins. The wound-healing astringent attribute is partially based on the levels of allantoin. It stimulates cell division and supports wound healing. It is very well tolerated, rendering rough, cracked skin soft and smooth.

Cornstarch (ZEA MAYS STARCH)

Cornstarch is extracted from peeled corn seed. The corn plant stores the starch as surplus energy reserve in its tissue. For cosmetic purposes, for example, cornstarch is used in powders or to stabilize emulsions. Cornstarch absorbs moisture and oils and leaves the skin feeling soft and soothened.
